Ukraine’s head coach, Andrea Maldiera, has announced the squad for the friendly encounter against Denmark. This game is set to take place today, June 7th, in the Danish city of Odense at the “Odense Stadium.”

For the “Blue-Yellows,” this marks their second fixture under the guidance of new head coach Andrea Maldiera, who succeeded Serhiy Rebrov in this role. The Italian specialist made his debut leading the Ukrainian national team on May 31st with a victory against Poland (2-0) in a friendly match.
Both Ukraine and Denmark did not qualify for the 2026 World Cup. The Ukrainians were defeated by Sweden in the playoff semi-finals, while the Danes lost to the Czech Republic in the playoff final via a penalty shootout.
Consequently, the upcoming friendly will serve as preparation for both teams for the 2026/27 Nations League, where Maldiera’s squad will face Hungary, Georgia, and Northern Ireland in League B. The team’s first match is scheduled for September 25th against the Hungarians.
