International partners have approved an unprecedented financial support package for Ukraine, including significant investments in Ukrainian drone manufacturing, urgent procurements of missiles for Patriot systems, and the enhancement of long-range artillery.

Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov
On Thursday, June 18, 2026, during the 35th “Ramstein” format meeting, international partners allocated $4 billion in new military aid for Ukraine. These record funds will be directed towards strengthening air defense, acquiring long-range artillery, and substantially financing the production of unmanned aerial vehicles.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, via his Telegram channel.
Air Defense and Missiles for Patriot Systems
Approximately $1 billion will be channeled by allies into the special PURL mechanism to equip the Ukrainian army with missiles for Patriot systems. The most substantial financial contributions to this initiative were officially made by the governments of Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, and Sweden.
Additionally, Germany is allocating $200 million to the JUMPSTART mechanism for long-term procurements. This initiative will ensure a stable supply of ammunition for Patriot surface-to-air missile systems.
“Today, partners announced $4 billion in new aid for Ukraine. It is important that support is increasingly focused on areas that yield the best results on the battlefield,” emphasized Mykhailo Fedorov.
Funding for Ukrainian Drone Production
International partners have decided to invest over $1 billion in the development and production of advanced unmanned systems. The United Kingdom has committed to financing the purchase of 150,000 Ukrainian drones for the needs of the Defense Forces.
The Dutch government will concentrate on supplying the military with the latest cruise missile drones. Meanwhile, Norway will direct its efforts towards supporting the production and acquisition of high-tech naval drones.
“Our key priorities remain unchanged: the PURL program and air defense enhancement, long-range artillery, and Ukrainian drones. The partners’ main decisions are centered around these,” stated the head of the ministry.
Procurement of Long-Range Artillery and Equipment
Approximately $540 million will be jointly allocated by partner countries for the urgent procurement of extended-range artillery ammunition. Significant financial contributions to this area are being made by Norway, Denmark, Spain, Lithuania, and Luxembourg.
Allies are also continuing to invest in electronic warfare capabilities, infantry fighting vehicles, and the development of training centers. All these critical capabilities will substantially strengthen the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“I thank our partners for their support, which bolsters our military and delivers practical results on the battlefield,” concluded Mykhailo Fedorov.
It is worth noting that Denmark is promoting a new model of military assistance to Ukraine – financing weapons production directly at Ukrainian enterprises. Through this scheme, €2.2 billion has been raised for the Ukrainian defense industry in 2024–2025.
