The Office of the Prosecutor General has reported that the investigation into the sabotage of Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 is ongoing.

Currently, no evidence has been found to indicate Ukraine’s involvement, or that of its state bodies or officials, in the sabotage of the Russian Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines.
This was stated by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
It is noted that the Prosecutor General’s Office is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the pipeline sabotage as part of a criminal proceeding concerning Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. Law enforcement agencies are conducting necessary investigative actions, including questioning witnesses, and gathering and analyzing information that could help establish all circumstances of the incident.
“Based on the work already carried out and the information received, no facts have been established to date that would indicate the involvement of Ukraine, its authorized bodies or officials in committing these unlawful acts, nor that they provided any orders, assignments, directives, or instructions on behalf of Ukraine regarding the sabotage of the mentioned gas pipelines,” the statement reads.
At the same time, the investigation into these circumstances is not yet complete, and the collection and examination of necessary evidence are ongoing.
The Office of the Prosecutor General has reported that it has taken note of the decision by the German Federal Prosecutor’s Office to bring charges in the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 sabotage case. It is emphasized that an indictment is not proof of guilt, as the final decision rests solely with the court.
The Prosecutor General’s Office stressed that Ukraine continues to cooperate with German law enforcement agencies, is conducting necessary investigative actions, and plans to propose the establishment of a joint investigative team for faster information exchange.
As a reminder, in early July, Germany announced a Ukrainian “state trace” in the Nord Stream sabotage case. The Federal Prosecutor’s Office has brought charges against a Ukrainian citizen, Serhiy Kuznetsov, in the pipeline case. He is accused of complicity in a war crime—an attack on civilian infrastructure. The department claims that he and other figures in the case allegedly acted as Ukrainian military personnel.
The investigation’s conclusions regarding the Nord Stream sabotage have sparked a new wave of political disputes in Germany. Against this backdrop, the leader of the opposition party “Alternative for Germany,” Tino Chrupalla, called for an immediate cessation of arms supplies to Ukraine.
