Russian forces launched an attack on central and other regions of Ukraine on June 26 using drones and ballistic missiles. As of the morning, combat operations are ongoing, with flights of unmanned aerial vehicles and guided aerial bombs being detected.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the night of June 26, the occupiers attacked Ukraine, deploying seven ballistic missiles of the “Iskander-M” type, which were directed towards the Kyiv and Poltava regions.
In addition, 189 attack drones of the “Shahed” type (including jet-powered ones), as well as “Geran,” “Italmas” UAVs, and “Parodya” type imitation drones were launched.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the aerial assault.
According to preliminary information, as of the morning, air defense forces had destroyed or suppressed 177 aerial targets. Among these were three “Iskander-M” missiles and 174 enemy drones of various types. These targets were neutralized over the northern, southern, central, and eastern regions of the country.
Concurrently, impacts from four ballistic missiles and 11 attack UAVs were recorded in 12 different locations. Additionally, the fall of debris from downed targets was observed in six areas.
The enemy attack is continuing. Several enemy drones are still present in Ukraine’s airspace. A threat of the use of guided aerial bombs has also been detected in the northern Kharkiv region. UAVs are moving towards Kharkiv from the north, as well as towards Lyman in Odesa region from the Black Sea waters.
We remind you that during the night, the invaders carried out a combined attack with missiles and drones on industrial facilities in the Kremenchuk district of Poltava region. According to the Regional Military Administration, hits were registered, resulting in a power outage in part of the district; restoration work is currently underway.
On the same night, the enemy attacked the energy and civilian infrastructure of the Izmail district in Odesa region. As a result of the strikes, an energy facility was damaged, causing power outages in some settlements. Also, during the attack, a cottage-style house caught fire, and one person was injured.
