According to law enforcement officers, the Moseychuk brothers were killed by Luchanov’s subordinates after a conflict arose between them and the wife of the now former brigade commander over music and the noise of a motorcycle.

As TSN.ua found out, both Stanislav Luchanov himself and his first wife have ties to the village of Orlivshchyna in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This year, their child graduated from the local gymnasium with honors, but, according to the director of this educational institution, Tamara Bondarenko, neither the father nor the mother could attend the last bell ceremony for the child.

“The mother of this student is at war; we tried to contact her during the academic year, but it didn’t work out,” the head of the institution told us.

According to her information, the child is being raised by her grandmother, with whom they are currently supposedly on vacation.

“The girl’s parents are officially divorced; it was a stress for the child,” says the director of the gymnasium.

In addition, she added that unknown people in military uniforms came to congratulate the child on the last bell ceremony.

“I even asked my management for permission to allow these people to participate. It turned out that they came to congratulate the child on behalf of her father,” says the director.

Furthermore, in the village of Orlivshchyna itself, we were told that they know Luchanov quite well.

“It is known that in 2023 he divorced his wife. There are rumors in the village that she could not hold him, after which he started living with a woman much younger than himself from the village of Kalynivka in the Kyiv region,” we were told in this village.

According to residents, the car Luchanov used recently had a license plate with the inscription “Dashka.”

“They say that’s the name of Luchanov’s young wife. Whether she inspired him so much, or he was simply a pragmatic person, is unknown. In addition, before the war, in civilian life, he was allegedly involved in bringing cars to Ukraine. Also, in our village, there are rumors that a number of people have financial claims against Luchanov, in simpler terms, they lent him money, and its return became problematic. He has not lived in Orlivshchyna since approximately January 2023, that is, since he joined the army,” one of the residents told us.

Murder of the brothers: what Luchanov stated in court

During the selection of a measure of restraint, Stanislav Luchanov expressed his position regarding the suspicion against him in court.

In the courtroom, he noted that he disagrees with the suspicion but wants to cooperate with the investigation. The suspect also agrees with the choice of a measure of restraint pending investigation.

Luchanov also claims that he did not give orders to capture and kill the Moseychuk brothers. According to the former commander of the 155th OMRB, he was on vacation at the time of the crime.

What the prosecutor stated in court

According to the prosecutor, on July 1, Luchanov decided to organize the murder of the brothers to cover up the abduction. According to the prosecutor, the suspect Dolgalenko (one of the subordinates allegedly involved in the crime, according to investigators – Ed.), who was carrying out the order, took Maksym Moseychuk to a training ground near Poltava, where he shot him in the head.

After that, he also took the other brother, Roman, to the training ground and shot him at least 8 times. Subsequently, Dolgalenko placed the bodies of the brothers in a pre-dug pit and buried them.

If found guilty, Luchanov faces 10 to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.

Recall, earlier it was reported that Luchanov made his first statement regarding the murder of the Moseychuk brothers. The court chose a measure of restraint for the former brigade commander.
