Over the course of June 4th and into the night of June 5th, the Defense Forces of Ukraine targeted command centers, drone bases, concentrations of personnel, and Russian oil depots far behind the front lines.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, Ukrainian military personnel hit a Russian command post near Kamianka in Zaporizhzhia and an observation post near Soledar in Donetsk. Russian drone control bases were also destroyed. These were located near the villages of Komar and Voskresenka in the Donetsk region, as well as Konovalova and Yablukove in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Additionally, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck areas where Russian military personnel were concentrated. Impacts were recorded in the vicinities of Mariupol, Shevchenko, and Fedorivka in the Donetsk region, near Promin in Zaporizhzhia, and also in the village of Zhuravlivka in the Belgorod region of Russia.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine further confirmed that following an attack on May 30th, an oil depot in occupied Feodosia was affected. One large oil tank and two smaller fuel tanks were damaged there.

Military officials also confirmed a successful strike on May 31st against the “Lazarevo” oil depot in Russia’s Kirov region. In this deep rear area of the enemy, two fuel tanks were completely destroyed, and two more tanks and a pumping station sustained damage.

“The Defense Forces of Ukraine will continue to systematically take measures to compel the Russian Federation to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine,” the Armed Forces of Ukraine concluded.

Ukrainian Forces Attack Russian Oil Refineries – Latest News

As a reminder, on June 2nd, Ukrainian military personnel again struck deep into Russian territory. In Kuban, the Ilsky Oil Refinery (NPZ) was targeted, and a drone control point was destroyed in the Belgorod region. Concurrently, it became known that a Ukrainian Neptune missile disabled equipment at the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery.

On the night of June 3rd, explosions were heard near St. Petersburg. Local residents reported on social media that the St. Petersburg Oil Terminal was under attack.

Due to persistent Ukrainian drone attacks, Russia has been compelled to prohibit the export of aviation fuel. This is the Kremlin’s attempt to avert a shortage, as the country’s oil product output has fallen to a 16-year low. Furthermore, Russia is beginning to experience issues with the supply of regular gasoline and diesel fuel.
