The balance of power in the full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine is gradually changing, and currently, the Ukrainian military is beginning to gain an advantage on the front lines for the first time in a long time.
This was stated by former US Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker, according to TVP World.

According to Kurt Volker, Kyiv’s successful long-range strikes on Russian oil infrastructure have significantly impacted the course of hostilities. The consequence of these attacks has been a fuel deficit, which has been recorded, in particular, in occupied Crimea.
“For the first time since 2023, you’re seeing the Ukrainians really start to gain the upper hand over the Russians,” he noted.
The former special representative observed that if he had to make a prediction about the future course of events, his assessment would be in favor of Ukraine.
“I would put my money on the Ukrainians today rather than the Russians,” he stated.
Volker also added that the current change in the battlefield situation could influence the future position of US President Donald Trump regarding support for Kyiv.
“President Trump likes winners,” he concluded.
