Ukraine has reacted to an extraordinary incident involving Ukrainian citizens in Monaco.

The Ukrainian Embassy in France is investigating the circumstances of an explosion in Monaco and verifying information about casualties, among whom, according to local services, are individuals of Ukrainian origin.
This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ministry stated that diplomats are already in contact with local law enforcement agencies, medical institutions where the injured were hospitalized, and judicial bodies.
“According to information from local emergency services, three individuals suffered injuries – members of a family of Ukrainian origin. Currently, the identification of the affected individuals is being carried out through official channels, and information regarding their Ukrainian citizenship is being clarified,” the department emphasized.
It is noted that around 9 PM, surveillance cameras in front of a residential building in Monaco captured an unknown person, after which a backpack left at the scene detonated. Law enforcement officers have activated an emergency security plan, and a search for the suspect is ongoing.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the Monaco prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation, but the classification of this incident is still being determined.
Recall, on the evening of June 29, a powerful explosion occurred in Monaco. An unknown individual left a backpack containing an explosive device near the entrance of a residential building. The explosion itself happened after several people entered the lobby.
It is reported that an assassination attempt was likely made on Ukrainian billionaire Vadym Ermolaev and his family. It is known that his wife, Anna, is in critical condition at a hospital in Nice. She underwent surgery and, according to media reports, had her legs amputated. The lives of the businessman himself and his son are currently not in danger.
