A devastating atmospheric front unexpectedly gained strength and rapidly expanded its area of influence—emergency warnings for squalls and dangerous hail have been issued for ten regions of Ukraine and Kyiv simultaneously.

Ukraine has announced the first (yellow) danger level due to a sharp deterioration of weather conditions in a significant part of the country. Tomorrow, July 19, residents of ten regions can expect heavy downpours, thunderstorms, and dangerous hail with squalls up to 20 meters per second.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center is warning about the spread of adverse weather.
Storm Expands Borders: Bad Weather to Cover 10 Regions
The zone of meteorological instability has significantly increased and now encompasses a whole range of regions. During the day on July 19, moderate, and in some places heavy, rains with thunderstorms will affect all western regions, as well as Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions.
Furthermore, the phenomenon will partially affect central and southern regions. It will rain heavily in some areas of Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, and Odesa regions, where hail may also occur in certain districts.
The most challenging situation with precipitation is expected in Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi regions, and the Carpathians. Experts note that such weather conditions pose a serious threat to infrastructure and could complicate the work of energy workers, builders, and transport operations.

Temperature Swings: Weather Forecast for July 19
Despite the thunderstorm front, most of Ukraine will experience quite warm and comfortable weather. Nighttime air temperatures will range from 13-18 degrees, and on the sea coast, thermometers will not drop below 21 degrees Celsius.
During the day, the air will warm up to 26-31 degrees, and only in the western regions will it be a bit cooler due to the adverse weather—from 22 to 27 degrees above zero. The wind will predominantly be southerly, but in the west, it will change direction to north-westerly.
Heat and Local Downpours: Weather in Kyiv and the Region
The capital region will also experience changes in weather conditions, although the first half of the day will be calm. No precipitation is expected at night in Kyiv and the region, but in the afternoon, short-term rain with thunderstorms will occur in some places.
The temperature regime will remain steadily high. At night, in the region, temperatures are expected to be 13-18 degrees, and during the day, thermometers will show a hot 26-31 degrees.
In Kyiv itself, the nighttime temperature will be 15-17 degrees. During the day, the air in the capital will warm up to a significant 29-31 degrees Celsius against a moderate southerly wind.
We remind you that just yesterday, meteorologists warned that due to adverse weather, large-scale flooding and dangerous mudflows were expected in some regions on July 19-20.
