Ukraine has announced the first (yellow) level of danger due to a sharp deterioration of weather conditions in a significant part of the country. Tomorrow, July 19, residents of ten regions can expect heavy downpours, thunderstorms, and dangerous hail with squalls up to 20 meters per second.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center warns of the spread of adverse weather.
Storm Expands Borders: Bad Weather to Cover 10 Regions
The zone of meteorological instability has significantly increased and now encompasses a whole range of regions. In the afternoon of July 19, moderate, and in some places significant, rains with thunderstorms will affect all western regions, as well as Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions.
Additionally, the element will partially affect the central and southern regions. It will rain intensely in some areas of Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, and Odesa regions, where hail may also occur in isolated districts.
The most challenging precipitation situation is expected in Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi regions, and the Carpathians. Specialists note that such weather conditions pose a serious threat to infrastructure and can complicate the work of energy workers, builders, and transport movement.
