People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zhelezniak has released a forecast regarding future personnel changes in the Ukrainian government following the resignation of Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko. According to him, a likely new head of government has already been identified, and a preliminary list of ministers who may retain their positions or head new departments has been formed.

Zhelezniak announced this on his Telegram channel.

According to the People’s Deputy, the most probable candidate for the position of Prime Minister is Serhiy Koretskyi, CEO of NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine.”

“The Prime Minister is Serhiy Koretskyi,” Zhelezniak wrote.

At the same time, according to his data, a number of Cabinet members are likely to keep their posts.

Who Might Remain in the Government

According to the deputy, the following have a high chance of continuing their work in the Cabinet:

  • Denys Shmyhal – First Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Energy;

  • Tetyana Berezhna – Vice Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy;

  • Serhiy Marchenko – Minister of Finance;

  • Viktor Liashko – Minister of Health;

  • Matvii Bidnyi – Minister of Youth and Sports;

  • Andrii Sybiha – Minister of Foreign Affairs;

  • Denys Ulyutin – Minister of Social Policy;

  • Nataliia Kalmykova – Minister for Veterans Affairs, although, as Zhelezniak clarified, her appointment is “not a fact.”

Which Ministries Might Be Headed by New Leaders

The MP also reported on a number of possible personnel reshuffles.

According to him, the dismissal of the Minister of Education and Science, Oksen Lisovyi, is again being considered in the government. He named Mykola Trofymenko as a likely candidate for his position.

In addition, changes may occur in the position of Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

“They say that the dismissal of Taras Kachka is being prepared. In his place, Vsevolod Chentsov, who is Ukraine’s representative to the EU,” Zhelezniak noted.

Government Plans Ministry Reorganization

According to the deputy, the so-called “mega-ministry of resources” may be divided into two separate departments.

The Ministry of Economy and Ecology, according to him, may be headed by Oleksiy Sobolev, and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy by Taras Vysotskyi.

A division of the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure is also expected.

According to Zhelezniak, Oleksiy Kuleba will leave the government, after which a separate Ministry of Regional Development, which may be headed by Vitaliy Bezgin, and a Ministry of Infrastructure, whose head has not yet been determined, will be created.

Questions Regarding the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Ministry of Digital Transformation Remain Open

The MP noted that the situation surrounding several key positions remains uncertain for now.

According to him, the Ministry of Digital Transformation was planned to be transferred to Valeriia Ionana, but this will depend on whether Mykhailo Fedorov remains in his current position as head of the Ministry of Defense.

Also, according to Zhelezniak, Ihor Klymenko currently remains the main candidate for the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but his possible appointment as Minister of Defense cannot be ruled out.

In addition, the deputy reported that the Ministry of Justice may be headed by Denys Maslov.

However, no official decisions regarding the new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers have been made yet, and the personnel changes announced by Yaroslav Zhelezniak are his information about the likely course of future government restructuring.

We remind you that the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yuliia Svyrydenko, will leave her post. Her resignation will automatically entail the dismissal of the entire Cabinet of Ministers and initiate the process of a complete government reboot.
