Law enforcement officers have managed to identify all military personnel involved in the crime and have apprehended them in several regions of Ukraine. The former brigade commander is still being sought.

The former commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Operational Command “North” of the Ground Forces, Stanislav Luchanov, and other identified participants of the organized criminal group have been notified of suspicion of unlawful deprivation of liberty and intentional murder of two civilian citizens on the territory of Kyiv region.
This was reported by the Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Military Law Enforcement Service noted that the exposure of the organized group was the result of joint work between the Internal Security Department in the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the Main Department of the Military Law Enforcement Service and the Main Department of the National Police in Kyiv region.
“A large-scale set of operational-search and investigative measures was carried out, as a result of which an organized group of individuals involved in the unlawful deprivation of liberty and intentional murder of two civilian citizens on the territory of Kyiv region was exposed,” the statement said.
The Military Law Enforcement Service emphasized that based on the results of the investigative actions, suspicions were received by both the former commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade and all currently identified participants of the criminal group.
“Based on the results of the measures taken, the former commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade… and all currently identified participants in the crime have been notified of suspicion of committing criminal offenses related to unlawful deprivation of liberty and intentional murder,” the Military Law Enforcement Service reported.
According to the service, law enforcement officers managed to identify all those involved in the crime, document their activities, carry out arrests in several regions of Ukraine, and gather the necessary evidence base.
The Military Law Enforcement Service also reported that, by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, preventive and control measures have been intensified in the troops to prevent violations of military discipline, abuse of official powers, and other illegal actions by servicemen.
“The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasizes the principle of the inevitability of punishment, regardless of the position or military rank of the person,” the Military Law Enforcement Service stressed.
The department added that the pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officers continue to carry out urgent investigative and operational-search measures to establish all the circumstances of the case and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarified that the figures in the proceedings have been suspended from performing their official duties, and the Military Law Enforcement Service and military administrative bodies are “interacting with law enforcement agencies within the framework of the pre-trial investigation, including regarding the location of the brigade commander.”
We remind you that earlier, the Operational Command “North” reported that the commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade, Stanislav Luchanov, who had unilaterally left his place of service, was being sought. They also stated that all servicemen involved in the criminal proceedings had been suspended from performing their official duties and were cooperating with the investigation.
According to Ukrainian media, nine servicemen of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade are suspected of involvement in the kidnapping and murder of two brothers in the Bila Tserkva district of Kyiv region.
