Kyiv’s “Dynamo” drew with the Romanian club “Universitatea” from Cluj-Napoca in the first leg of the 1st qualifying round of the Europa League for the 2026/27 season.

Due to the war with the Russian occupiers, the nominally home game for the Ukrainian club took place at the Lublin Arena in the Polish city of Lublin and ended with a score of 0:0.

Throughout the match, the “White-Blues” had more scoring opportunities than their opponents but failed to convert them.

In the 79th minute, Mykola Shaparenko could have snatched a victory for Kyiv, but his shot from the left corner of the penalty area hit the crossbar.

In the 85th minute, the lighting at the arena in Lublin suddenly went out, and the match was suspended. The players of both teams left the field and went to the locker rooms, but the game soon resumed. The fans did not see any goals in this match.
