The city of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, despite persistent attempts by Russian forces to capture the settlement.
This was stated by fighters of the United Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine “Lyut” in a video address to Russians.
“F*** YOU, NOT KROSHKA! Today, the Kremlin dictator and his generals decided to sell another ‘great victory’ to Russians about the complete capture of Kostiantynivka. This is a lie!” the fighters declared.
They also added that units of the brigade, in conjunction with other forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, continue to carry out combat missions directly within the city and neutralize enemy personnel. According to the military, the assault actions by the Russians are accompanied by constant pressure.
“Yes, the enemy is trying with all their might to seize Kostiantynivka. Yes, the battles are fierce, and the enemy is pushing their infantry forward in small groups, trying to hold every meter. But Kostiantynivka is not under their control!” the “Lyut” brigade noted.
Ukrainian defenders also emphasized that the statements from the Russian military leadership regarding successes in this direction do not reflect the real situation on the battlefield. The fighters highlighted that the Russian army is experiencing regular losses in manpower.
“While they are drawing up victory reports in Moscow, our warriors are destroying their infantry. While Putin is preparing to hand out awards for a fake ‘victory,’ Russian soldiers continue to perish in battles for a city they could not capture,” the servicemen added in their address.

Earlier, Volodymyr Putin claimed that the Russian army had captured Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied this, calling it another falsehood. The city remains under Ukrainian control, although fighting is ongoing in certain areas.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also reacted to Putin’s statement. He ironically remarked that if the city were truly under Russian control, Putin could easily travel there for peace negotiations. Zelenskyy stressed that the actual situation is completely different from the words of the Russian dictator.
We also reported that independent analysts are not corroborating the claims made by the Russian leadership regarding the full occupation of Kostiantynivka. According to their assessment, the Kremlin’s reports are part of an information campaign aimed at shaping a favorable impression among the Western audience.
