Kremlin officials relentlessly declare that the aggressor Russia supposedly welcomes a “peaceful settlement” in Ukraine. However, at the same time, Moscow reiterates old narratives, claiming the issue lies with Kyiv’s stance and threatening further strikes.

This is evidenced by recent statements emanating from Moscow.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the aggressor state, **Maria Zakharova**, was outraged by the five basic conditions for peace that were recently voiced by the leaders of Great Britain, France, and Germany. Forgetting about the Kremlin’s constant ultimatums, she hysterically launched accusations, claiming they “put forward conditions that are consciously unacceptable to Moscow.”

Zakharova cynically stated that the European leaders’ declarations are allegedly aimed at “preventing the creation of conditions for negotiations on a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace.” Furthermore, she also reprimanded European countries for aiding Ukraine, particularly with weaponry.

Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Federation Council, **Valentina Matviyenko**, brazenly stated that prerequisites for a political solution “are not yet visible in the current international situation.” She attributes the reason for this not to Moscow’s unwillingness to end the initiated war, but to the West’s “Russophobia” and even to threats against the security of the Russian Federation.

Putin’s jester and Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, **Dmitry Medvedev**, hysterically declared “attractive targets” in Ukraine for Russian troops following the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s strikes on facilities in Crimea.

It is worth recalling that the Kremlin’s representative for economic cooperation, Kirill Dmitriev, brazenly stated that Russia knows how to end the war they started in Ukraine. He suggested that, first and foremost, the Armed Forces of Ukraine should withdraw from Donbas. According to him, this is supposedly the position not only of Moscow but also of Washington. The official brazenly called this a “realistic solution” that “lies on the table right now.”
